Its the only line up with a back 4 that Arsene can play but still accommodate all of the attacking central midfielders he's purchase and still make up for the shortcomings in defensive midfield.

Really think its time for him to bite the bullet and go for a 3-5-2 like below:

We have the defensive cover for a back 3....Chambers, Mertersacker and Kos to start. Monreal can provide cover on the left...he's solid enough to play that role and it will suit him better than his current position at left back where he gets caught out of position when attacking....Same with Debuchy when he's back. Worst comes to worse then I wouldn't mind Arteta in the middle of the 3.

Wing backs speak for themselves...Ox and Gibbs will relish those roles and provide vital width and the freedom to get forward with the knowledge that there's some decent cover at the back.

By doing this you create the necessary defensive cover and width so that the central midfielders of Ramsey, Wilshere and Ozil can do their thing!!

Just my thoughts on the matter.

So move GIBBS back to left back and the same team plays a 4-3-3
or a 4-3-1-2. It's not all about formations but the lack of a DM within the squad.
