We haven't appeared to play well for quite a while now. (there are a few exceptions)

We don't appear to play tippy tappy football anymore. Whilst it wasn't the most effective method in the past at least when you have the ball in theory the other team can't score. Unless you wish to pull a Lee Dixon.

Our passing seems very sloppy. As well as many other basics.

And there appears to be a massive hole in the midfield. It seems a lot of the time teams just break and score against us.

This area needs fixing. I don't know if it's to do with one particular player or lack of a certain type of player.

Actually I wouldn't mind if Diaby could finally stay fit and play a string of games but I really doubt it.

We need a big, strong central midfielder who breaks things up. They need to be fast, physical etc.

Arteta and Flamini are not this player.

the Ozil role.

Again, this will help us a lot.

the rob is correct...we have a team of number 10s who are playing all out of position.

Always said you win and lose games in midfield. It's the core of the team. They protect defence, control the tempo of the game and help launch your attacks.

We need to sort this out ASAP else it will be a very long season with results and performances all over the place.

A basic structure would be nice instead of the usual goalkeeper, 2 centre halves and everyone else do what they like...the 2-8 formation...well done Arsene.

problem with midfielders is they score a couple of goals and they start thinking they're Rivelino.

Of course, it doesn't help that we're lacking a certain .. authority upfront.

if our defence pushed up closer to our midfield, it wouldn't get exposed so often.

really press the opposition hard. Do you remember when Gallas and Toure held their lines half way up the pitch? The midfield used to amble about and we used to get turned with one straight ball over the top far too often.

We just seem to have gone back to not defending like a team.
