the guy was a fantastic game changer for the club.....but that was 15 years ago. Nothing he has done in the last 10 years has moved us forward on the pitch. We have effectively stood still and watched other teams overtake us. Yes we will probably make the lasr 32 of the CL but there is no way on earth we have a remote chance of winning it.
in the league we have 6 points yet manure who apparently have had a catastrophic start have only 1 point less than us.
Other teams have bought world class strikers and we buy wellbeck ! Wellbeck has already clearly demonstrated exactly why Van Gaal had no worries about selling him.
The massive deficiencies we have are a defensive midfielder and adequate coverage at the back......so AW signs more forwards and no midfielders.
Lets face it AW has taken us as far as he can. We will never do better than 3rd or 4th in leagues and last 32 or 16 in CL.
