We have a natural winger in the Ox sitting on the bench yet we persist with Ozil out wide. Wouldn't it make sense to play Sanchez, Ox and Walcott as your wingers, Welbeck Centre Forward with Ozil playing off the front man?

Football being a fluid game and all that and a game where movement is quite fundamental to success. One could argue that Sanchez for example was being asked to play in a similar role to the German yet he was everywhere.

There was matches in Brazil in the summer where he (Ozil) was playing on that side of the pitch within their formation. He drew criticism from many quarters at that time also yet crucially maintained the full support of Lowe.

but if you watch the rare occasions when he has played centrally he has used his pace brilliantly there (along with his many other assets) - most notably at Bayern last season

the diamond we have the players suited to it. Wilshere/Ramsey/Chamberlain/Diaby as the two and Ozil/Cazorla at the point with Sanchez and one other up front. Our full backs are quite attacking so they can provide the width.

As you say though, really need a Gilberto type at the base for it to work.

Not a fan of such terms myself, quite fond of the simple pithier “Ramsey”.

Hyperbolic terms such as this are best reserved for the truly brilliant such as Bergkamp, even better those who have retired. Young Aaron has a big season ahead of him trying to live up to the incredible standard he set for himself last season.
