"Le Parisien reports this morning that the French international has damaged ligaments in his left ankle and could be out until the middle of November." according to arseblog

I thought he'd broken the f**ker when I saw how much pain he was in. Not that sprains don't f**king sting, mind.

Our boy Shadwell has certainly got his work cut out already, maybe we should've broke the bank and brought Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole out of retirement.

Looks to be a good player but more of a Dani Alves wing back type than an actual nails FB. I'd play Chambers there given the choice but it's ridiculous to expect the centre halves to stay fit for the next few months.

Hasn't Yepes joined Lanus? Time to send up the Jenks symbol imo, get him back from the East London Nazis.

one striker (before Welbeck), one right back (counting Chambers as a CB) in the squad, three million creative midfielders and another thirty not quite a striker, not quite a winger types and we get two long term injuries.
Having said that having a 19 year old cover for right back and both centre back positions perhaps wasn't the greatest idea.

He looks excellent but you're right, faced with Hazard, Sterling etc would be pretty concerned,.

it's not really about luck, it's bordering on criminal for wenger to have put us in this position

Hopefully we are just moving back to the traditional wenger model-**** defence but loads of goals.
