hair straighteners, but I get on the return flight back to Luton last night to find that they'd double booked my ticket. Cue mild panic among the crew as they realise their passenger manifest and head count bear no relation to each other. Captain can't take off. Bloke comes on board and starts scanning everyone's boarding passes all over again. Another half hour of head scratching. Eventually take off an hour and a half late. I get to Luton and the c**ts had left my case in Hamburg.

I recall dining on oysters the night before and having to struggle for a pre flight age, before getting called to the gate along those bouncy walkways.
Guts were on fire and any sharp movement could have precipitated a torrent of dirty water rushing down my legs and gathering in an offending pool at my feet.
I finally made it on to the turbo prop to Stansted and spent a long time in the cramped excuse for a toilet at the back..
Drained of colour and just about everything else.
