we might see Wilshere and Ozil in their more natural positions if he's a doubt so not all bad.

past four days, both basically full games (taken off in 86th minute). Wenger should have instructed the Chilean coach to only play him for 45 minutes in every meaningless international friendly, or he'd hunt him down and murder him.

He'll be knackered come Satuday noon  Thankfully Yaya Toure is expected to play for Ivory Coast this afternoon. And it's a an actual competitive game :cloud9:
Usually he is f**ked after 70 minutes of ordinary games. This time he may only last a half :-)

Got absolutely steamrollered by England's excellent Gerrard and Henderson.
Toure, Fernando and Fernandinho should be fun :-(

They probably won't have the pressing and intensity of that game either, even so a midfield of two weak, immobile midgets who give the ball away under pressure doesn't inspire confidence.
Man City have the midfielders Wenger used to buy before his Fabregas inspired midget fetish kicked in.

the midfield. He'll probably play Cazorla in the middle for that reason, as he's a bit more willing to get involved with the defensive stuff and pressing the ball.

from set-pieces. Not sure with that in mind the analysis stands up to match tbh

but them conceding possession sloppily every time they were pressed is still relevant.
This has happened a few times, especially with Arteta, he needs someone more imposing with him imo.

Aguero now seems to make more of a effort to drop into midfield when they don't have it.

I still think you are confusing playing badly with what they are capable of doing

Just not as a two man midfield .

Do you see Jack staying there long term now , as opposed to ahead of the midfield?

Ahead of the midfield, as you put it, his path is blocked by players who are simply better footballers or better suited tactically.

His new role in Hodgson's England could be a blessing for us.

Appears to be to shoehorn as many creative, ball players into the team as possible and therefore control possession of the ball.
This only really works when teams drop off and let us have it as we struggle to keep it under any sort of pressure.

absolutely no runners, hopefully Sanchez and now Welbeck will give them more space to play,.
It should help.
