The Gunners have handed their 16m deadline day signing the no23 shirt for the new season previously worn by the much-maligned Nicklas Bendtner.

Before the Dane left this summer, the no23 was occupied by Andrei Arshavin another player who eventually left the Emirates under a cloud of disappointment.
