#AFC still want CB/DMF (maybe someone who can do both) but likely to be squad player not big name as (esp CB) will be back-up

#AFC unlikely to sign striker despite Giroud injury. Not definitive but current plan is existing options rather than buy/loan

"unlikely to" so if it doesn't happen he is right and if is does happen he isn't wrong. Possibly trained by Trevor Brooking in sitting on the fence in the perfect postion

became aware he was droning on about something or other, he'd usually finished, so I have no memory of him ever actually saying anything at all. He certainly never irritated me, though, which makes him preferable to all other co-commentators I've ever heard.

I actually enjoy watching games with the German commentary now - much better not to understand what they are talking about

Also, on the 'everything's better by virtue of not understanding it' thing, do you think that's how Robbie Savage feels?

After which he could have gone on on bizarre, paranoid anti-semitic rants for all I know.

I did like Jonathan Liew's attack on him the other day though

Sorry, it's the Telegraph if you want the link

Won't make a blind bit of difference, though. The BBC clearly regards all football fans as monumentally thick and deserving of nothing better. Mind you, sometimes I'm not sure they're wrong. :-(

Suggests thst he really is just a stupid c**t. I like to be clear on these things.
