The trouble is, I fancy saffron. Do you think the chorizo will clash with the saffron?

I marinated a couple of poussin in saffron, mint, lemon juice, harissa, ras el hanout, garlic, salt and olive oil on Sunday night. Ate them last night, spatchcocked and grilled. Mostly with our fingers. Messy, but delish.

They're delicious.

We had poussins yesterday. I marinaded them in my new barbecue sauce and hot smoked them over coals and apple wood. They were much nicer than yours.

1) It's a funny word, right?
2) It's very weird way of cooking a bird, right?

Not very funny for the bird imo.

Quite the summer holiday location it was for us in the 70s, 5 kids in the back of the car, two day journey to get there etc.

Hell hole I imagine, and it stinks of ****.

Some of the kids don't like it up 'em anymore like they used to in the olden days.

You could stay in Mount Juliet which is very nice and dine there one evening. Campagne is another place you would like.

Has the beauty of being not far from Dublin.

I am not recommending it of course, but I do understand.

You would enjoy Ireland now, quite the modern thinking cosmopolitan melting pot you know. When I say Ireland I clearly mean Dublin, the rest is still the same.

I recently took a holiday in Connemara for a week. 5 days with no mobile phone reception which in reality was quite lovely.

The Mrs made the huge mistake of asking for a cappucino in one place where she was given what looked like a mug of Mellow Birds with a blast of squirty cream on top.

Nearly broke my hole laughing.

But for the fact the lady looked like she would kick 3 shades of ****e out of me I would have complained.

When Cromwell was offering the choice between Hell and Connacht, he knew what he was doing imo.

At least you can probably get a decent coffee in Hell.
