One idiot was pleased that we had signed Debuchy because he is more defensively solid than Sagna, the latter allegedly an attacking full back who -- and I quote, -- "is not a proper defender".
Another idiot said we desperately needed a world class defensive midfielder to "bully Matic and players like Matic". I don't think the most urgent job of a defensive midfielder is to bully the opposition's equivalent.
Then about 11 mongs said they wanted a specialist defensive midfielder and then mentioned non-specialist defensive midfielder Khedira as the answer.
5 mongs called for zonal marking on corners to go because we are terrible at it, despite the fact that we let in the fewest (second-fewest?) goals on corners last season of any team in the PL [citation needed].
