I agree it's a certain monthly outlay, especially including Sky+ and HD - perhaps equivalent to half a pint a day in the pub. Is it only the 'filthy rich' who can afford that luxury?

Those who can enjoy three or four sports that they show will obviously get better value from a subscription that those who might only want to watch Arsenal matches, so ROI will vary.
