more open games. Might take him some time to reach his full potential obviously, but he can get better than Mandzukic. Same style, length etc but will be better with his feet in the box.

Wouldnt mind another alternative though to be more competative this season if we can find a really good f**ker.

I agree that Sanogo hasn't got it - he is too awkward on the ball and not quick enough - his long legs will cause the occasional problem but he will always be a novelty player in the mould of Kanu.

Overall it was a very disappointing performance, far too similar to many in recent seasons where we don't have the incisiveness to open up a packed defence.

Things will hopefully get better with Ozil and Walcott in the attack.
