Arteta would be perfect to continue the recent non-playing captain tradition.

Wilshere, sadly, probably doesn't even come into the equation any more.

Did the same thing with Kerrigan, I can understand it for a young player to see what it's all about etc but Finn could have played for Middlesex or even the Lions game.

Might of thought that there was a bit more pace in pitch. Same with Kerrigan - he gave them a option if they wanted a "proper" spinner. I assume the coach and captain still pick the final team and the selectors give them the widest option

I just got the impression they weren't going to play and it was more of a re-integration thing.

Would you stick with Robson after the series?

Makes a bit more sense.

I'd have been inclined to leave him be for a bit longer.

No shame in that - needs to work on some things, probably with the Lions over the Winter. I'm sure he will be back. Should definitely see out the series though

Lyth or do we try and do a Warner with Hales?

Hales is a proper batsman though - had a dreadful year last year but bounced back big time this year. I prefer think of him as a right-handed Trescothick than a Warner

Warner wasn't a direct comparison as such, just someone at the top who has had more success in the shorter form, although obviously Hales has played a lot of four day unlike Warner.
I'd like to see that as well, I'm really starting to lose hope on him coming in for Cook in the 50 over which would massively benefit both England and Cook imo, make Morgan captain.
