View Full Version : As of 20th August, I will finally have a garden! Well, a communal one, but still not to be sniffed

at in London.

Can anyone recommend a nice compact barbecue that won't piss neighbours off too much?

You do need an electric outlet, but this thing runs on pellets, so it is safe (no flame) and can be turned off when you are done -- no glowing coals all night. As an old school guy in these matters I was skeptical. But I have been won over. It does everything from a quick burger to a long smoke for things like ribs, brisket, etc.

You must have them "ovah thayah" as it is mentioned here:

decided to do a hangi

It took a days preparation and then the meat takes forever to cook. It was pitched black and every one was hammered before the decision was taken to just dig the meat up and put it on the bbq. Not a success
