Decent referee. How he allowed his assistant miles away to over rule him is beyond belief. I know it was a friendly but he should be dropped for start of season after that.

friendly, which are used to gain fitness and sharpness? The only reason you wouldn't feature in a pre-season friendly would be because of little bit niggle/injury.

He probably doesn't want to say he's injured and have everyone moan.

In all seriousness, though, would anyone at this stage even moan if it was revealed that Diaby was in fact injured?

There are two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says "Morning, boys. How's the water?" And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes "What the hell is water?"

and so on and so forth, etc.

Agreed, he is clearly injured to some degree.

This sort of thing will happen again but will be extremely marginal and truly difficult to call unless the goal line tech is extended.
