The defence doesn't get rotated as much, you only need adequate cover. You stick with a functioning unit.

Midfielders and attackers are subbed on and off for tactical reasons, and also because the midfielders are likely to knacker themselves out during a game. Hence more midfielders and attackers.

I won't be surprised if we see a leetle bit of squad trimming though, maybe some of the younger players going on loan.

I agree on the rotation bit.

And listing 19 players does not mean they will all play an equally important part.

Coq and Myaichi could be on their way out.
Diaby will hopefully be matched carefully and we will not rely on him to play 30-40 games this season (we should be happy if he gets 20.)Zelalem will probably make a few appearances in the cups, maybe a couple of league games. Rosicky, Arteta and Flamini will probably play fewer games than in seasons past.

Bellerin will perhaps be included as a right-back, so that leaves us with 8. Don't know if Miquel, Ajayi or Hayden would be ready for this level?

Still, I think injuries or suspensions at CB would leave us vulnerable.
