at the very best. He'll do well to leave for a Championship club to get some game time. If he's good there then he can be our reserve right back when Debuchy retires/leaves behind Chambers. If he's crap we well/release him.

Wenger obviously rates him and as with AOC, who wasn't essential at the time either, we must think he is good value.
We want another right back from somewhere, apparently he is very versatile, used to be a CM and the England U19 coach has plans to convert him to a CB.
He is also homegrown , which is a big thing with the squad places, providing we have the money and this isn't our DM budget, then I'm fine with it.
