And yes, that is really him quoted at the bottom.
2nd June 2014 - Self-Service Dog Wash is Proving Popular with Dogs and Owners
Canine visitors at a beachside café in north Norfolk can now enjoy a cooling and cleaning wash after a seaside visit.
The Beach Café at Wells-next-the-Sea, a haven for dog-lovers, has gone a step further and unveiled a new ‘Wash ‘n Wag’ service for all shapes, sizes and breeds of dogs. After a run on the beach or swim in the sea, the fun and effective dog wash allows owners a chance to wash down their dogs in a specially enclosed booth, removing the sand and seawater from their coats. Their four-legged friends can then dry off in the sun, while the owners enjoy refreshments at the café, with the knowledge that their dogs will be clean and happy for the journey home.
Facilities for dogs at the café started very simply with a varied selection of colourful water bowls. Recognising the large number of customers with dogs, the café then launched its own’ K-9 Club’, with membership offering a chance to win a hamper of handmade dog treats from Norfolk-based company ‘Pooch’s’. This was followed by a popular online photo competition to find the perfect canine to be crowned ‘Beach Café Dog of the Year’.
Manager at the café, Alan Miller said “The dog wash seemed a natural development and has proven so popular that we often have a queue of dogs waiting to be washed down. My theory is, if you have happy dogs, you have happy owners and ultimately happy customers and judging by their early reaction to this new addition to the fun factor at the café, it is definitely working.â€
