I know it's a bit green on top but look at the weather for the next 2 days!!

I wish people would get over this obsession with batting first pitches in England are now known for lasting five days and often get better to as Tests goes on. Particularly true at Lords in recent years. Take advantage of anything the pitch might give you imo.

Plus, I doubt India batsmen will be thanking Dhoni for the whole Anderson thing if he is charged up

on Sat against Essex. They were bloody diabolical.

As for Cook, it's time for him to step down imo.

Both the batting and bowling held together by a 36 year old.

Honestly, the man is a cowardly, snivelling, whining little c**t.

especially as Surrey are
a) doing well
b) have 2x players I love watching
c) on Sky a lot

You come back to who else is there?

Broad would be an unmitigated disaster and Prior is struggling enough as it is.

Cook got whitewashed in Australia (overseeing an immensely damaging schism in the side at the same time), has lost a home series to a Sri Lankan side with no bowlers and has pissed and moaned like a little bitch all the while.

However bad Broad is, I don't think he could actually be worse.

I'm not defending Cook, I'm as sick of this as you but Broad is like a spoilt kid, the whining will be just as bad.

Look, what we need is an opening batsman who is also a captain, with international experience.

Step forward Mr not in the same league as my dad but better than my brother Cowdrey. Maybe Fabian could have a go.

Seriously though - what sort of a wrong'un calls his kid Fabian

insouciance when Arsenal put up a piss poor show. Indeed, if anyone here offers criticism of the team they are reviled as thick and, even worse, working class.

One could imagine you don't actually give a f**k about football.

jumping on it to get some dig or other in.

Let's see: there's you; snin; poor, simple devongunner - have I missed anyone?

It's really rather flattering. :-)

revolting little, half-bright prole with so many chips on your shoulder that finding clothes to fit must be a sore trial.

However, having larger matters on my mind, I generally choose to ignore you.

You, on the other hand, clearly feel the need to pop up whenever you sniff an opportunity to deliver what I you erroneously imagine will be some devastating witticism.

I clearly matter to you on some level, since you demonstrably feel the need to tilt at my particular windmill whenever you can.

By contrast, I don't give a flying f**k about you on any level whatsoever. You're just another faceless keyboard warrior I'll never meet. What you say, think or do has as much significance to me as a raindrop does to the ocean.

So by all means carry on. Just don't expect me to care.
