View Full Version : Fashwimb. My current gripe with life is lack of time. London to blame again!

In general I am not doing to badly.
However lack of time is really frustrating me.

Obviously one needs to work. If you work in London it's going to take quite a while to get home. By the time I get home sit down a bit have dinner or whatever I need to do it's nearly 9pm already. Then my wife (sounds strange to say that) has to get up really early so she wan't to go to bed early.

Even less time if I have to pick up some shopping or want to go to the gym.

I want more time! This is a big downside to London. I am sure other places are like this too. You can always suggest to move closer to your job. But it's very unlikely that you both will have jobs in the same area.

Maybe I should move to the sticks. I am sure my Canadian family or her family in Italy do not have this problem, Maximum 30 mins journey by car to work. So they don't need to get up early and have loads of time in the evening.

Wimbledon to Waterloo is about 15 mins max and then on the tube - another 20 mins and you're at work.

I am going to see what other ways I can save time. I would like to to one big trip shopping a week but as the flat is small we don't have a lot of storage space.

Though some of the items they swapped annoyed me.

Sorry we didn't have those 4 steaks you ordered so we replaced it with two big steaks. :-( Rubbish when you have some one coming for dinner and have to slice the steaks in half.

And then, before you know it, you'll die and disappear into the cold and pitiless void of eternity.

Hope this helps.

as technology will render most of what we do obsolete.

Though they didn't explain how we'd all live on part-time income.

But didn't really relax at all with so many people over visiting. Feel like a need a break to recover from it.

Got no holidays left so have to wait till Christmas but at least I booked my trip to Italy last night.
