and starting from the start to see if I have picked up bad habits or other things I can do to adjust my playing.

Never played in a band though.

Nothing worse than a tuneless c**t with an instrument.

Back in ‘the day’, living on Green Lanes, an ex-girlfriend bought me an electric keyboard for a birthday. f**k knows why of course.

When f**ked up on drink and drugs I would happily sit for hours engaging with said keyboard banging out utterly tuneless noise. Chaps in the flat used to love me.

more. You must always be 'creating' and not learning someone else's riffs by rote.

It's worth noting that most of the world's greats learned their craft early on higher action, tough acoustics - it's how they developed their strength.

it had 2 keyboards. and all this pan pipes sound effects and this strange backing tracks. The songs would go on forever.

He'd sit there playing and my Grandmother thought he was brilliant. But really it was the most annoying **** ever.

Mine had the drum rhythms and all that, so you'd set off on a bit of bossanova or something and then just batter the f**k out of the keyboard.

Sometimes in tandem, like McCartney and Jackson though clearly I was never the nonce.

For hours, post George Robey, post the swings in Finsbury Park, post being lost in said park for a while.

I started playing when I was 17 for quite a few years. Then I would say I lost interest a bit in my mid 20's, Just got back into it last year. Technology has definitely moved on far more resources to learn or to try different effects without having to buy loads of pedals. and to actually record your playing is so easy now. valuable tool imo.

I am interested to learn some blues now. my Uncle who was just over for the wedding plays in a group in Canada. Just a small outfit but sort of inspired me to try do the same.
