Obviously the bowlers will have to bowl for lbws and run-outs because with him and Cook no one is catching anything behind the wicket

only to find it's 4.30 in the morning and everyone's strewn across floors and sofa's, or walking about in a post rave haze ?

surely two brothers opening for a country they have no association with won't be beaten.

I'm not sure about Khedira next to Ramsey, I think someone bigger and more defensive would perhaps be better.
He also looked a bit sluggish against France, not sure if that's just lack of match fitness though.

view around the biergarten was quite nice. Thought he played well though - might be struggling a bit but I don't think he is the only one. Actually think he has developed into more of a box-box midfielder while playing alongside Alonso. It could work with Ramsey but I take your point about wanting a more defensively minded one. Mind you we still will have Flamini and Arteta as well

against teams with no real attacking threat who were happy with a point.
Gave us an advantage in those games as opposed to Chelsea who struggled to break teams down with Luiz, Ramires, Matic in there (hence them buying Cesc).
I think he still has a big role to play but against the bigger teams he is far too exposed, also Flamini, we need someone strong and athletic.
Martinez is the ideal but that's unlikely, I'm coming round to the idea of Lars Bender , I haven't really watched him that closely but he seems to have the necessary attributes.
You'd have a better idea though :-)
