View Full Version : Although it may just be made up newspaper talk. But it does seem like Juventus can not help but try

to sign any player we are 'after'.

Then followed by Napoli.

And while you're at it sell him for half his worth. Brilliant.

apparently.

Vidal might fancy having a go in a better league an Serie A and doing it with arguably the post prestigious club side in the world.

with Ramsey already there, maybe someone who just holds might be better.
If we can't get Martinez would Sven be better than Lars?

Lars won't leave. By that role i mean the deeper of the two, where Arteta plays.

Bayern and Ajax have won as many big cups as man u. Barca, Liverpool and Real have all won more.

Bayern, Juve and Bayern are all arguably bigger in their own country than man u are.

Crucially, they are all also in the CL

but I think he goes forward a fair bit, certainly more than his brother.
Maybe he and Ramsey could develop a one holds, one goes type understanding like Gerrard and Lampard had http://www.awimb.com/images/smiley_icons/ohwell.gif

quicker than Khedira and seems to get stuck in more (excuse the cliches). I think he'd be more suited to doing Arteta's job than Khedira.

I think you're right, Khedira looked sluggish against France , although he was running after Griezmann (I think).
Perhaps the injuries have taken their toll a bit.

I am not even sure Juve are the biggest team in Italy Fanbase wise.

United are a far bigger club worldwide. Your blinkers towards them really are quite incredible

But, just so we're clear, we're not basing any of this on actual success (domestic, continental or international) or attendance figures then?

I could be wrong but it almost sounds like people are selecting either a) the figures they've been fed by a biased, hyperbolic and/or xenophobic media or b) that a lot of you actually want man u to be the biggest team in the world.

They have the equivalent of Surrey Reds all over the place. Though it is telling when they built their new stadium that the capacity was only 41000

Six last season, five the season before.

I do hate some of the players though, I hated Sralxfrgsn with a passion and I really detest the lazy hyperbole around them based on their dominance since football was invented way back in 1992.

Juve were bigger in Italy than United were in England. There's challenging the orthodoxy and there is being pigheaded and wrong.

world.

How else do you think they can afford to spend so much? Their merchandise revenues are absolutely through the roof.

For the same reason they also have a mega kit sponsorship deal for their training kit only, for example.

There is no debate to have here, really.

at least not cheap, we'll need a defensive midfielder from somewhere.

p.s Lahm was excellent, not only gives them width but now he can cover for that idiot Boateng.

for some bizarre reason as that isn't really relevant to the which is bigger between Juve and United (who have of course won more).

Don't understand what you mean by this:

"But, just so we're clear, we're not basing any of this on actual success (domestic, continental or international) or attendance figures then?"

United get 30,000 more per home game than Juve - does that not count for anything?

I think it's only rigorous to look into who else, apart from juve, could be described as that.

I thought it was at least important to establish what criteria we're judging it by. I mean, I was hoping it wasn't something as prosaic as shirt sales or turnover but it turns out it was.
