My original guffaw was at the time when it was suggested Southampton had upped his fee by another £10m or so.

Still think it is a ludicrous price to pay for him, a teenage left back with less than 100 appearances in his career.

I would suspect the fee is not exactly how it is being reported, decent size down payment with loads of add-ons to reach the magical figure as his career progresses etc.
