Face facts.. Jesus Christ will walk through the doors of the emirates wearing an Arsenal shirt before Sanchez.

Why do we build ourselves up like this every summer, only for Arsene to dish out a proper transfer window c**ting to us all..

Martinez's second goal yesterday was brilliant though.

like how Messi does for Barca. That false 9 *******s, but as a winger he scores plenty. Think of him and Walcott scoring 20 and assisting 20 goals each.

Then just buy someone **** as a backup to Giroud.

As greatful as we all were, we had the good fortune to be in the right place at the right time and would have been left high and dry, had the Bale transfer fallen through.

that someone like Sanchez is fantasy is not right. The last two windows shows we can and have gone after £30m players.

Other clubs appear to be far more direct in their transfer dealings and securing players.
If Bale hadn't gone, we had no plan b..

I dont get why everyone seems to think we are looking to replace Giroud.

With Theos injury record, Joel and Sanchez will play on either side.

We will buy a striker similar to Morata to compete with Giroud, able, but eased in and out team.

more than interested. A world class attacking player for the left side, a position where we could use someone with the attributes he has (pace/workrate/cliches etc...).

Give us little bit more balance.

Arsene has been demonstrating that, whatever he is, he most assuredly ISN'T a thick **** who hates The Arsenal football club. Why do people insist on treating him as such?

Higuain and Jovetic appear to be two players who could have been signed but who we went cold on.
It all came down to the Bale transfer going through.

It all comes down to whats written by those who supposedly know in the media.

comes up short in the big games but i'm not sure signing Higuain would've been a huge improvement over Giroud. Obviously it would have added more depth but when you're spending £30m to bring in a striker i think you want much better than the one you have and not just a little bit better, which is why trying for Suarez made sense.

Billy Goat Sverige

surely it's not his fault if Levy is playing silly *******s?

That's the sort of deal you hold out for, no? If you know the best no.10 in the world could become available i think you wait that one out and worry about it after.

Madrid were after Bale for most of the window so you assume Real knew they would've been getting rid of someone like Di Maria or Ozil once he signed.

Fairly balanced piece with an absence of name calling but the final few paragraphs seem to have some resonance with what I'm saying. I'd also forgotten about the late and strange bid for Cabaye.
