It's more the diversity of music on offer, rather than the names. This year is excellent for the undercard, less so for the headliners (there aren't any 'wow factor' bands headlining, like the Stones, Radiohead etc). But away from the music, it's just the best place in the world anyway. Well worth popping over for!

i go to bonnaroo every year over here. somewhat for the acts, but mostly for the general suspension of social mores and attendant weirdness/surprises.

just saw jack white at bonnaroo -- he was excellent (although bonnaroo is in his backyard).

disclosure at 1am in the morning at bonnaroo was pretty mental as well.

have seen the war on drugs several times, always great -- i love anything kurt vile does. likewise for st. vincent.

tinariwen, jon hopkins -- acts i haven't seen but would very much like to.

I really like them, and Kurt Vile, but Kurt was bobbins when I saw him live a couple of years ago. I think they clash with Blondie anyway... But if you say they're decent live, I may get tickets to see them in London later this year.

he is much improved. saw the war on drugs last november and they were good as well.

i think he just needed to get over some nerves about live performances.

that said, at SXSW he did a smaller acoustic set, and was sitting in a chair the whole time, and i expect glastonbury will be more overawing.

please check out st. vincent -- she is a true rock star.
