Seriously though, decent signing for someone like Liverpool or Spurs even, one would've thought. Both needing decent centre halves.

Wenger doesn't seem to be in the Woolies bargain bin rummage this year, he's got something up his sleeve. JL could've been a Silvestre for us.

after the Kolo experience, but yes I agree, still a very decent player. Shame his knees were f**ked because I saw him as a 17 year old and he was brilliant then (admittedly in the second division or whatever it was called then). A proper two-footed centre half with pace to burn
