If Italy beat Costa Rica 2-0, their GD will be 0, and if England beat them 1-0 would go down to -1 (which would be the same as England).

If Italy beat Uruguay 1-0, their GD will be -2 - so they will be out of it.

So if two teams finish on the same points and GD, is it goals scored? If so, Costa Rica and England would have scored the same. So then is it goals against? England would go through as runners up on that. Wd England :bow:
