Good player but should not build your team around him. England played well against Italy but changed they way they lined up to accommodate Rooney in his best position. He scored but as a team England created less.

About Rooney....the fact they conceded 4 cheap goals is clearly a bigger issue....Henderson / Gerard combination has done feck all and no one in the middle has the ability to spring the pace up front with a pass :shrug:
