View Full Version : The failure not to sign Suarez really has cost us in so many ways

1. We could have well won the league
2. Liverpool would not have finished second & now be a challenger in the transfer market in our price bracket.
3. We would not have bought Ozil (Not that I am saying he is a bad signing but see 4,5 & 6).
4. We would have re-signed Cesc
5. Cesc would not be strengthening a direct competitor.
6. He could well sign for Chelsea
What a mess that saga last summer was. :-(

It's only this season that he's entered that kind of bracket.

but I don't understand why the club is getting so much grief over this.
We were given details of a clause in his contract, which turned out to be accurate and which we met.
The bid was rejected at which point it needed Suarez and his agent to tell Liverpool that they have to accept the bid and make their feelings known, they didn't, they accepted it.
Also all this about bidding £40,000,001, I'm certain the same people would moan if it transpired we bid £5m over the price of a release clause.
I remember when Lee Hughes (I know) had a release of £5m and WBA bid £1 over, it's just common sense.
Another thing is people with absolutely no inside knowledge saying if we had come back with £50m they definitely would have accepted that, why?
They had to accept £40m and they didn't.

Got some big decisions to make now. They were saying on the TV that he will probably pick the team that started the last six nations game, but I think you have to leave Tuilagi in.

They frequently nearly sign players.

We didn't get as far as nearly signing him as I don't think there was a realistic chance of it going through

Also I really like Eastmond, the closest thing around to Jason Robinson, albeit not that level yet.
The problem with the game of rugby is the influence a bad/bent ref can have on a game, puts Howard Webb to shame.

them, dag and others were awful, it was the chance to beat them and england played pretty bloody average and didnt even score a try..neither team deserved to win a pretty crap shoddy game of rugby so stop bloody moaning imo

Think the All Blacks felt all they had to do was turn up to win. Like to see what other "decent" sides would with a third choice front row, fifth choice fly half and reserves in the second row, back row, centre and scrum half

Snin

any other analysis is bollox both those teams would have lost by over 14 points to Toulouse or even saracens etc ..when you see Dag , Nono etc being substituted for having a stinker you know the quality is poor..any other assessment is wrong

they really need a good kicking imo and that was a good chance to do it..they are overrated cnuts and seeing them turn out looking like they'd walk it..grrrr bloody england, with some decent quick passing, better movement and some better players it would have been great

Snin
06-09-2014, 10:10 AM
played for England did you billy ? his assessment is correct in terms that all blacks were there for the taing but englands painfully slow, laboured and obvious running and ball movements meant they never even got a try..Australia would have stuffed nz..its so annoying that England were so poor and labored..chance missed
