View Full Version : That England test squad looks very odd, why no Stokes?
Cook, Robson, Root, Bell, Ballance, Moeen Ali, Prior, Broad, Jordan, Anderson, Woakes, Plunkett
I would assume he is still suffering from his injury in some way or fitness related, he'd surely be in instead of Woakes.

I've got tickets. I'm quite looking forward to it. It's basically a completely different England team to the last one I watched.

and Ali will play as a spinning all rounder. Seen a bit of Plunkett bowling - looks very quick and a bit fierce - Lankans won't like him, Jordan, Jimmy and Broad coming in at them

and Yarde, thought Cipriani might have got in ahead of Burns though.
Just need to get Wade on the other wing now

I basically haven't seen any international cricket for more than a year. I haven't missed much, I don't think.
for a spectacular collapse in that line up, although less so now Robson is in for Carberry.

Still think Tuilagi is an option for the wing with Burrell in the centre - think Burrell's all round game is actually better but hard to leave Manu out

Seriously, though, I expect to spend a lot of time at Lord's asking who various of our players are. I expect it may get quite irritating.

not helped by the cheating f**ker not walking when it smashed into his glove on Tuesday, I mean fair enough for an edge but that was blatant. As for the whining about Buttler's idiocy ...
we seem to be at least replacing some of these solid reliable type backs with more quick, creative options.

He's never going to look like a grown-up. I hate people like that.

when Warner hit him, can't remember exactly what it was now.
The most annoying thing I find to be the fact that he seems to be permanently glued on his back foot

Not hugely impressed with Ballance's technique from what I've seen so far
I was under the impression he was a twenty twenty/ODI specialist.
Apparently not.

Didn't he used to be the next Michael Owen or something?
and when people realised he wasn't quite that good "the next Francis Jeffers".
