I don't recall too many complaining about the signing, even though he has rarely looked like justifying his £42.5 fee so far. Fabregas is very well proven in the premiership, a little older at 27 but with several good seasons ahead of him. Seems strange that so many are looking the gift horse so squarely in the mouth.

They would also have to ensure that it didn't put our FFP compliance in jeopardy.

If they are to be compromised then I'd rather we let him go elsewhere.
