I find these damned Americans quibbling on our territory rather rude.

Furthermore, I find this immensely irritating.

The idea that, to a septic, becoming 'like Italy' would be a bad thing?

Jesus. America 'better' in some way than Italy. Amazing.

I asked her where she went, to which she replied 'Naples'.

I responded by asking her if that was her first visit to Italy. She looked at me quizzically and asked 'there's a Naples in Italy' :-(

Turns out she meant Naples in Florida and just assumed that I would make this assumption.

Its ridiculous..and also strangely lots of mobster types with families all staying there nad eating out by the fake sea with the fake floating boats..fake vespas ..they were all talking in tony soprano type accents. Very odd..and some couples at bar saying they had been to Europe but preferred this hotel as its next to disney world and american..but so similar to italy but nicer and cleaner..heathen cnuts

How can they be so blinkered about the world they live in?

in a tiny town in the mountains of some remote part of Colorado or summink, and started talking with this American couple who were -- for some inexplicable reason, -- on holiday there, who were so eager to visit Europe and would be visiting for the first time in the not too distant future.
'So where are you going?' I asked innocuously and immediately burst into uncontrolled laughter when they answered "Manchester". :hehe:

Needless to say, they weren't very cultured types and the conversation soon ended. The man started touching me inapproriately as well, which was odd. :rubchin:

different places to see.

From Deserts to erm Deserts and other stuff.

But remember that it's easy to laugh at them. But it's a long and epxensive way to Europe.

I am sure most of us have been to places in Europe which are near us more than we have been to North America.

Excluding myself of course. Who has been to USA 4 times and Canada 1once in the past 3 years.

to Europe.

But then there's that whole other culture thingy though that Europe has.

Actually Europe has many individual cultures. Not counting Belgium, which has no culture.

Belgium has the best beer culture in the world, and good cheese. What more would one need?
