Carwimb BMW 3 series coupe v Audi A5 coupe what gets your vote?

3 Series coupe is a hard ride, little in the way of extras and personally prefer the shape of the earlier model ( as I have one on my drive) soon to be replaced with an A3 convertible for the wife- I have an A6 and love it - very comfy - the A5 is what we used to call a Grand Tourer - so A5 for me + it will hold its money like sh** to a blanket.

I like the look of the A5, especially in red! But a mechanic I know said there are too many problems on anything lower than a 4 cylinder. Looking for something about 4-5 years old.
