Methinks he won't be displacing Zabaletta, there for the money and not the footie if it happens, massive loss of respect from me.

Hmm. Let me consider that for a while.

Gives them a back 3 option too with Clicy and Zabalety flying down the wings...

I know what you're saying and I suppose he hasn't said any bull about "trophies or development" blah blah blah so maybe fair play to him, if he wants to be a rich bench warmer who am I to argue.

...shame we'll buy a better replacement (hopefully!)

There is no chance that they are signing him because he is a very good right back who will improve their options at that position while also adding depth to their central defence options, an area they were often criticised for last season.

Given the reported imminent departure of Richards and Lescott , the (free) signing of a player like Sagna makes no sense at all other than as you say to make us weaker.

Young Fabregas is a wonderful footballer but I would have thought Wenger had other more pressing priorities should he wish to spend £30m on a footballer.

We make our offer, he chooses to accept or not. If the latter he leaves.

I don't get too hung up on the whole footballer leaving football club scenario.

Because it's not like we didn't need a striker or anything

Obviously not.

No professional footballer in his right mind would choose to take our offer over City's. If he took our deal he'd regret it forever. His agent, who gets 10-15%+++ wouldn't allow it. His wife/girlfriend/boyfriend wouldn't allow it. He'd be a complete fool to even consider any sentimental attachment to the Arsenal, even if one exists.

He'll be remembered as a decent player with a ridiculous barnet who played for us at a time when we didn't win anything, except the FA Cup. We won't be building any Sagna statues, but he served us well. He's not a Judas. Thank him and move on. Just like all the others who are defined as Judas by the buffoons on FanTV, he served us, gave 100% effort, and moved on to a 'better' opportunity. In 2-5 years his earning potential will be next to nothing and he'll still need 50 years of income. Now is the time to get paid.

So thank you Bacary Sagna and good luck in the future. You done well!
