Firstly went to FA Cup Final and to all those in media who wanted to focus on the quality of Arsenals play over the drama and tension of the game needs to climb out of their rear.

A 3-0 cruise would have been satisfying obviously but the way it did happen just made the day one to remember, where the emotion that football can bring was the winner.

But its done now, 4 days since we last won a trophy and already looking at next season and how can improve and we need to as everyone around us will though suspect Liverpool might drop out of top 4 next season.

The FA Cup is a real trophy and as much as it is rammed down our throats that 4th is too, it does not bring 250,000 Arsenal fans out on a Sunny North London day does it.

Success is trophies and being in the last 8/4/2 of Champions League and going to last few games of season still with a chance to win it, thats being truly competitive and that should be the aim.

So we need to improve and Cesc has been mentioned various times but where will he play?

Its a long season, we lost Ozil, Ramsey and Wilshere for large parts of it and with Arteta and Rosicky in likely last seasons or maybe for Arteta his last, and at 30+ you bring Cesc back to play CM and rotate this area and by doing that it stays fresh from first game to last.

The other needs is a top CF who can play WITH Giroud, particuarly at home and imagine someone like Diego Costa who can really play just off someone like Giroud. Might be games you go to one up front but at home in 90% of games we should go 2 strikers.

Need more pace in team and another part of bringing back Cesc is stopping this obssession with the Ox being the next Stevie G and in midfield, play him as a left winger!! with Walcott on right you have genuine pace on flanks and 2 players who will work back.

Team does need more pace overall and some size, so maybe a defensive midfielder of 6ft + to challenge Flamini for that role.

When buying players you have to look 2-3 years and where there maybe be no space now there will next season for sure.

I would be surprised if Podolski is not moved on as he is Arshavin MK2

Shame that Sagna is off too, but you hope they could find another RB of size and pace, and there is need at CH too.

The core of team is young and good, best years ahead and if the offseason is handled correctly with REAL investment of at least 2 World Class players - Cesc being one, he is in prime of career has gained even more experience at Barcelona and it just fits as he hopefully joining an Arsenal on way up.

Bit long I know, call it cup fever :-)

4-4-2 and 'big black defensive midfielder'-imperatives suggest so.

The game has changed, gramps. The players have different bloody colored boots on these days.

Go eat your Werther's originals and yell at the TV.
