I am sure my opinion matters much to the board.

Vela has outperformed him this season, and the Griez was even relegated to the bench come the back-end of the season.

He doesn't do much in games either, but suddenly pops up inside the box to slot home a goal.

He's effective and has decent awareness ala Ljungberg being able to find space which would perhaps suit Özil, yet he doesn't participate much in the buildup and is generally not all that.

I think we're just trying to squeeze some money out of Sociedad, which I'm not entirely adverse to.

You're right about being involved though, he is very Freddieish.
That's what appeals about him tbh, we have plenty of players who enjoy the build up we need someone lively always threatening in behind, a left sided Walcott.
Then the opposition will be reluctant to push up and our ball players will have more space to play.
