good at 'putting himself about', 'making a nuisance of himself' and 'getting stuck in', is there not a teensy-weensy issue with him not appearing to be able to play football in any technical sense that I can discern?
For me, he's the football equivalent of those bits on pinball tables that vibrate for a bit and then the ball shoots off in any direction.

trap a bag of wet cement in a telephone box.
The following season he was a monster.
Sanogo will be the same. Trust me in this.

Inexperience, nerves and lack of confidence, y'see.
It's like playing table tennis with parkinsons.
Sanogo will get there, he actually made great contact on that back flick that led to the corner
Needs a goal, as they say

The whole Andy Carrol episode did put a bit of a dent in it, though.

He was incredibly wasteful at times and lashed at half chances which were going nowhere, while a more intelligent lay off to another player went begging

a somewhat vulgar description, I grant you, but one I maintain would have applied had his body not been destroyed.

He just had 'one of those games' on Saturday where he lacked any real cutting edge.
I hope he stays but he needs better players around him in that final third

He's had a great season, full stop.
