View Full Version : I obviously noticed it more being an Arsenal fan but ITV's coverage was shocking.

The 2 hour build up seemed to avoid talking about football at all.

Chiles is just one of the most ignorant pieces of **** I've ever seen. He always asks irrelevant **** stirring questions.

I understand the underdog point of view. But this was way over board. Every fan they spoke to was from Hull, any footage of fans in the stadium was with Hull supporters. I couldn't even see if there were any Arsenal fans in the stadium apart from the Wonga chap.

Here is one ex hull player after another to talk to. For Arsenal we have Lee Dixon (though he's hardly complementary to the current team)

Tim Vine going down like a lead balloon.

for 2 hours it was Hull can win this. Hull can win this of course they have a chance.

At the end of the show Chiles then says well of course Arsenal were always the favourites and Hull didn't have a chance

(but hasn't won anything for 9 years )... they made a meal of the non coprner dor the second goal but not such a meal of the 4 possible pen's ( I think 2 were certain, 1 probable and 1 possible)

Who cares, we won it

somebody who has had a career hosting sport.

The other chap is much better. I can't remember his name. He usually presents the CL highlights or games on ITV 2 or 3
He used to be the main host.

why not actually say it was wonderfully crafted by Arsenal.

It was Podolski with the fake run up that made the keeper step to the right.

Then the bodies rushed in blocking the view.

Was a brilliant bit of work by Arsenal imo. I am very impressed, Goal from a corner and a set piece :cloud9:
Plus excellent Wenger subs.

They even showed him doing tactics with water bottles :cloud9:

You missed all the arsenal bits when you went for a read of the paper in the loo!

:hehe:. After the break we are going to look at Arsene Wenger.
Ah good finally here we go.

Then they talk to grumpy fan calling him stubborn.

Some more in hope of our failure.

Which is why in hindsight, and given that we won, I'm glad the match ended up being a classic cup final in its own right.

The negativity is still there, just tempered now, so just enjoy the fact that we have won, and in style.

It will all be back to normal soon with a new stick to beat us with!

Although Santi did the same thing to Casillas a few years ago.
