The whole sheer cruelty of being absolutely shattered but too wired/consumed by dark thoughts to actually sleep. Grrrrrr.

To be fair, I am speaking mainly on behalf of the missus. I migrated to the living room a couple of nights ago and am sleeping like the proverbial baby (oh the irony of that phrase for a new parent!)

I'm currently enjoying entertaining him - and myself - by talking exclusively to him in regional accents. That's not cruel, is it?
