No seriously, it is pocket money to them & I heard somewhere that they were within the CL squad restrictions this season if you look at the players that were actually picked.

very severe. the point is that City have now had to fall in line with the FFP rules. Compare that to earlier, when their fans were all of the opinion that they could easily get round it. That turns out not to be true. City will no longer be able to spend such vast sums. And they will never generate enough income to enable them to buy such a collection of players again. Hopefully they will now gradually return to their place as one of England's minor clubs.
