View Full Version : Why is it that some people here find the need to moan even after a good comfortable away win?

So can one look for negatives after a win?

It takes f**king ages to get a good defensive base, especially for us.

Madness.

a club somewhere is offering him a big signing on bonus and £100k a week i think you let him walk, especially at his age.

it's a big ask for a 32 year old. All our new monies will be instantly eaten by salary demands. Maybe Aurier will be good.

Surely at least try and tempt him to stay with 80/90k. It's not like we have anyone waiting in the wings and, as I say, losing a part of a solid defensive understanding is a big loss.

His wife is also a stunner.

seen him, but he's meant to be a very technical and powerful full back. Plays for Toulouse. I read we've been scouting him since he was 17.

Same agent as Koscielny too.

1st half lacklustre - poor finishing from Giroud - nothing to write home about - 2nd half much better Ramsey and Ozil took it up a notch - nice to see Jenko get a goal -shame to see sanogo clip the ball away from goal in the last seconds - there is that better ?
all my comments are fuelled by bitterness and disappointment of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory - no team was unbeatable this season - but we have been humiliated several times, due to lack of preparation, signings and possibly poor tactics, Wenger didn't have any strength in depth and treated injuries like a shock as if they don't exist for any other side -
And the pantomime will begin again now that renewal time is here - we will be ' missing out' on quite a few top players this year

You see, I don't have the memory of a Goldfish and I still remember last years humiliations and the players that we have let go to other sides

I've had it - believe me - watch toure pick up his winners medal and remember Wenger worked harder on our Koreans visa than his.
it's time for results at Arsenal not sentimental bull****.

around £15m over the length of the contract, and that's not factoring in any signing on bonus he would expect as he would get that if he left.

Signing someone like Aurier would cost you £10m in transfer fee and a £40-£50k a week 4 year contract is £8m-£12m. So the saving is minimal at best, and there's no risk of being stuck with a player of 33 years of age who could've regressed quite a bit as age catches up with them, and is on £100k a week.

Aurier would also have sell on value if it ever came to it, Sagna wouldn't.

You haven't proved wrong, as you don't often prove anyone wrong Nic.

Of course I'm not involved in the negotiations but I'm citing information from slightly more reliable sources that may or may not be true. That is the nature of journalism and also the nature of being a football fan - absorbing and discussing what's written about the game. Football would be incredibly boring if this wan't a part of it.

You seem to find great difficulty in taking part in this, unless the said information has come from Arsene or the person in question themselves. Thus, as a result of this, much of what you say is massively irrelevant and inane to the conversation itself, because you're unable to remove yourself from the mindset of only wanting to listen to absolute definites.

Everyone knows the information isn't 100% verified until it actually happens, so making this point over and over again doesn't suggest that you're incredibly clever (as you appear to believe), it does, in fact, make you look the opposite: like a f**king repetitive fool.

Because the only people that know such confidential details are the club, player and his advisors, not the sort of numbers that would be given to idiots like John Cross

And for that reason fans should not be using any newspaper numbers in discussions to justify a view, its just wrong and stupid
