Hull midfielder David Meyler WON'T be banned for their FA Cup Final meeting with Arsenal.
Meyler appeared to stamp on Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj during the Tigers' loss at Old Trafford on Tuesday, but the Football Association have decided not to take retrospective action.
Match referee Craig Pawson has told FA officials he was looking directly at the incident, which took late on in United's 3-1 win.
It is understood that, under the rules allowing cases to be dealt with retrospectively, it is not classed as the incident having not been seen by match officials because the referee had a clear, unobstructed view.
After the match, United caretaker manager Ryan Giggs said of the incident: “I didn’t see it, but I saw his leg. That’s the second time this has happened to him this season [there was a similar incident in November, involving Fulham's Sascha Riether].
“It’s not great to see; it’s terrible, his leg. He needs protecting and the authorities need to stamp down on it. It’s a joke.
“He’s not cut into the skin, but you can see the mark from his knee to his ankle.”
Meyler's 81-year-old grandmother has promised to come to Wembley to see him play for the first time ever.
That dream trip would have had to be cancelled if Meyler has been suspended.
