I know, I know. I loved them, too when - and this is crucial - I was a kid.
Look at them now. The script is terrible, many of the lead actors were awful and the plot makes little or no sense. Much of the second and third movies drag terribly, as well (Dagoba system - sheeeeeesh!)

Effects and set pieces - that's it. Not worth an adult bothering with imo.
