I participated in a street race this weekend for the first time since my yoof. Quite impressed with the effect of interval training and a bit of drastic diet change. I completed 10 k's in 44.09 which I estimate is probably 15 mins quicker than my form a year ago.

kids, women and old men. People train a lot. What they all had in common though, they were all fit. I didn't get overrun by a single fat *******.

The running injuries really rocketed when Nike introduced the heel running technique.

have to lose a lot of weight before attempting to start even running (let alone basketball/tennis). Started cycling last week (my first 11km!) as it's my only option for now...

The first three km's went in app 12 mins. Had to pay for that later in the race.

I used to Train a lot in my yoof, and although I don't remember it, I think I did 10 km's in close to 35-36 mins in my prime.

Half marathon, yes.
etc but never did any cardio until about 6 or 7 years ago i guess.. now more interested in enduro, running hills, etc than pushing my PB's as im not built for speed :hehe: did 1 hr 32 min 8 sec half marathon 2 yrs ago and it felt like for me sprinting the whole way..would love to go under 1 hr 30 but..dont think i can be arsed/inspired enough
im happier now chugging along on hilly 14 / 15 milers without ever over pushing it.and now my knees n ankles dont feck up
