Who hasn't had some sort of 'sticky' substance around in the cold weather. A pitcher has to get a grip on the ball. It's one of those unwritten things that a pitcher does what he has to do to make his pitch... in cold weather.

This ruling will set baseball back a lot. If I am a fastball pitcher and it is 35 degrees with the wind blowing from the north .. with no stick - em I have no f**king idea where the ball is going.

Nobody deceived a hitter by using pine tar. It is total bull****.
