There's an argument to suggest that Klopp is much more of the Moyes mould and that Van Gaal is the one that has the experience of managing top, top clubs.

Bit like when people moan that we could be getting one of the Bundesliga's best strikers rather than Suarez

Although I quite like this approach:

Juventus' ex-Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni on Thursday revealed how coach Louis van Gaal once proved he had 'the balls' to drop any of Bayern's stars - by dropping his trousers and exposing his genitals

Klopp is seen to be at the forefront of the new breed of top European managers, Simeone and Conte being others and no doubt some in the English media will be pushing forward Rodgers and Martinez in time.

The reaction of United fans you are alluding to would be replicated among Arsenal supporters if Wenger went in June.

He's dropped players in the past for deviating from the tactical plan, even if they've scored or set up a goal when they were improvising.

He doesn't take no **** that guy. Also, he wins trophies. Overall, hes a short term manager, so whoever he manages, it means the team has realll problems.

He brings an identity like he did at Ajax, Barca, Bayern, AZ for the future then leaves
