The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.

relief to him now that his time has come to an end

He was completely unqualified to get the job, meaning he would always fail to get the respect of the players, all of whom were more decorated than him.

He went in and dismantled the coaching setup, bringing his own people in, including a rookie like Phil Neville.

He spent a fortune on one player, and that player was a safe bet, being a loyal player he used to manage, who would always follow him. He really should have gone for another player from another club, to show everyone that he could attract big names. Also, from the beginning he tried to be copy Fergie, e.g. ludicrously moaning about the unfair fixture list, before the season had even started.

unless he goes on to manage another side who can start to challenge....

If I was Moyes I would have the summer off (with my remaining 5 years of contract pay-off) do a bit of punditry at the world cup, get a nice tan in the Brazilian sunshine and then wait for the first sacking around September of the 2014-2015 season....

He was looking older than fergie FFS :hehe:

A big relief it must me. The man needs a good rest with some hot chocolate, a weekly mag and a cucumber pampering

Another good young manager like Villas Boas not given a proper chance.

Can see him at spurs too. He is a good man and didn't deserve to be treated like this. Why did the club leak it before this was announced ? Takes the piss!!

He should have steered well clear of going for Baines and Fellaini imo

... ****e Hart Lane.

Not sure how the Spuds fans will react to another reject... lets face it in their deluded minds any manager would jump at the chance to manage Spurs so why cant they get bigger :hehe:

Was he on a 5 year contract?

failure to qualify and they can get rid of him with just a year's payoff
