View Full Version : Apart from the pen Wigan didn't do anything else to trouble us imo

People forget they had 100 men in midfield so of course it was going to be tricky.

When that donkey giroud holds up the ball usually there is nobody there to pass too.

The problem was not in buying another striker, but buying one better than those we have - who should he have bought?

We get plenty of corners. Some should try to push forward just a little bit more.

Be in the right places.

I could make excuses for him for one transfer period but he had again 3 months for the next one. You really believe he couldn't find anyone better than Yaya or NB?? No alternative way of approaching a game and no alternative replacement when Giroud was literally burned by playing him 2 games a week, week in week out.

But it seems to help to fuel your impotent fury.

We have had proper money for less than 12 months and you appear to be expecting the moon on a stick.

they've been very fortunate with injuries this season, only ever having 1 or 2 out at any one time

I have no fury Hillary and if you visit the board a few posts down the line, you'll see that I really love Wenger for his contribution to the club and I don't want him gone. But at the same time I can't see him moving us forward anymore and I can reason my logic if you like...But you wouldn't be open to any logic from me, would you?

we went for Suarez and got Ozil, went after Draxler in January. I fully expect us to bring in the 2 or 3 players needed in the summer.
I would also say that losing players of the quality of Ozil, Walcott, Ramsey, Koscielny and Wilshere for large and vital parts of the season has cost us

This was our bench against Fulham, before we had any injuries to speak of:

Substitutes
21 Fabianski,
17 Monreal,
10 Wilshere,
26 Frimpong,
44 Gnabry,
58 Gedion Zelalem,
22 Sanogo

if you're struggling, you bemoan your injuries.

I think its more that he only wants to buy the right one. Being better than whst we have is probsbly not enough if he is being asked to spend serious money.

We are learning the lessons from signing acerage players on long deals. You cant shift the buggers. I think the cost of that summer clear out made him reuluctant to gamble on strikers who might have worked out.
